Welcome to Baymeadows Christian Academy Athletics. At BCA, interscholastic athletic competition and school spirit are an important part of our program. We are currently offering girls volleyball, boys and girls basketball and track and field.
At BCA, we believe in nurturing the attributes and traits found in athletics: diligence, perseverance, discipline, teamwork, and respect for a competition well-contested. We believe we can succeed by teaching our students that everything they learn is grounded in biblical principle and that they can bring God glory on the field of play. All BCA coaches will encourage their athletes to strive for good sportsmanship, integrity, commitment, and awareness of the athlete’s influence on the behavior of others. Our aim is to make our athletes into positive leaders and believe that extracurricular activities , such as athletics, mold students into well-rounded individuals and provide an important balance between teamwork and competition.
Above all, we believe that Jesus Christ should be first place in the life and heart of each student-athlete. Education is always considered priority and athletes must have the ability to balance school work, practices and games while maintaining a solid commitment to all.
BCA's athletic programs main priority is to tell every athlete how they can accept Christ as their personal Savior. It is our responsibility to compete in a manner that demonstrates the character of Jesus Christ and what he has to offer to others in our community. We encourage athletes to honor Christ in all they do, on and off the court, and while we may not win every contest, it is our desire to compete to the best of our ability.
Colossians 3:17 - "And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him."
